Department of Nutrition Distinguished Alumni Lecture

The department is proud to announce this year’s recipient of our Distinguished Alumni Award, and invite you to a virtual lecture – and cooking demonstration! As a long-time faculty member in the department and director of UNC’s Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention for over 15 years, Dr. Alice Ammerman, MPH 1982, DrPH 1990, was a natural selection as the Distinguished Alumna in our 75th year. We invite you to join Alice in her kitchen (virtually!) as she discusses and demonstrates one of her favorite recipes from her “Med-South” diet.
All attendees are invited to cook alongside Alice (we’ll send you an ingredient list) and the first 50 registrants will receive a complementary box of ingredients from local farmers!
