Celebrating 75 Years of Impact: UNC Maternal and Child Health Department
The Department of Maternal and Child Health at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health marks its 75th anniversary with a two-day celebration on October 9–10, 2025, in Chapel Hill. The event, themed "Generations of Impact: Past, Present, Future," honors the department’s legacy, showcases current innovations, and envisions the future of maternal and child health. Highlights include a panel discussion with former department chairs, a reception at the Ackland Art Museum, an interactive session with current faculty and students, visionary speakers on technology and AI in public health, and a luncheon awards ceremony recognizing outstanding alumni.
